The Glacier

Inspired by ancient Nordic glacier myths and my reverence for nature, I created this series with a longing to provide something a little deeper. Sarah, my wonderful model, embodies the spirit of a glacier—ancient, powerful, and quietly fading. She walks among us as a human, carrying the weight of millennia, but her time is running out.

The glaciers of Mount Hood, just outside of Portland, have been retreating at an unprecedented rate, many disappearing completely and act as a stark reminder of our warming world. Their disappearance threatens not only the delicate ecosystems they support but also the human communities that rely on their water.

This series seeks to honor their story—a tale of resilience, loss, and the urgent call for action to protect what remains of these timeless sentinels of our planet.
